V25-1094 : CONVERSION OF COMMUNITY AERIALS - CHANNEL 5 OFFER

The Sub-Committee were informed that Channel 5 had offered to convert, free of charge, community aerials serving 30 homes or more to enable their station to be received. This offer would cover 11 of Waveney's Sheltered Housing Schemes and St. Peters Court, a total of 497 homes.

The Council would be required to accept ownership of equipment installed which would carry the manufacturer's warranty for 12 months, and accept responsibility for its maintenance; as was the case with the existing.

RESOLVED

That Channel 5's offer to convert 12 aerial systems, serving a combined total of 497 homes, be accepted, and the Chief Executive be authorised to sign the agreement.
