V25-1092 : JACOBS COURT CAR PARK

The Sub-Committee were informed that the small car park for the benefit of the tenants of Jacobs Court was regularly used by unauthorised persons, leaving the tenants no spaces to park.

The most successful, and cost effective, method to eliminate this would be to issue car parking permits to the tenants, similar to the scheme operating at Lawson Court, with a charge of £50 per day or part thereof for unauthorised parking. The car park would be checked periodically by the Council's Car Park Inspectors and the scheme administered by the Senior Housing Officer.

RESOLVED

1. That car parking at Jacobs Court be by permit only, and any unauthorised car parking be charged at £50 per day or part thereof.

2. That the Chief Executive be authorised to advertise the above amendment so as to amend the District of Waveney (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 1995 accordingly, and that if no objections to the amendment are received, be authorised to confirm the Order as modified.
