V25-1060 : INTEGRATED TRANSPORT POLICY

The following item was considered as a matter of urgency, under the statutory provision accorded to the Chairman, as the document had been finalised after the preparation of the agenda.

The Director of Community Services presented the Council's response to the Government's Consultation Paper on an Integrated Transport Policy. Waveney's document, entitled "Five Routes to Success", had now been published and had been delivered to the various interested parties after confirmation by the Leader of the Council.

The Chairman congratulated the officers of the Community Services and Planning and Building Control Department for the speedy yet very informative response compiled. The Chief Executive endorsed the Chairman's thoughts, adding that he knew that the achievement in publication of the document in such a short time had only occurred by officers working on it outside office hours.

RESOLVED

That the officers involved in the compilation of "Five Routes to Success" be congratulated on the informative nature of the document.
