V25-1025 : W16796/1 - LAND AT LAUREL FARM, SOUTH ELMHAM ST JAMES

The Director of Planning and Building Control reminded members that an application for the change of use of the above site to a maintenance depot for lorries was considered by this Sub-Committee on 10 September 1997.

At that time the applicant was awaiting an appeal hearing on his claim of a certificate of lawful use for The Yard, St James. The Sub-Committee, mindful of the possibility of there being two approved sites within the village, resolved that a site visit should be held at Laurel Farm, to be arranged after the appeal decision on The Yard was known.

The appeal had now been held and the Inspector had dismissed the applicant's claim. Subsequently a site meeting at Laurel Farm had been arranged on Thursday, 4 December 1997.

RESOLVED

That the report of the Director of Planning and Building Control be received.
