Application for garden store/kennel.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that the proposed kennel was to accommodate three greyhounds to be kept as domestic pets. Objections had been received regarding possibility of disturbance and the suitability of the proposed kennel, and also that there had been callers at the premises in the past the view dogs for sale. The Environmental Health Officer had recommended that an openable window should only be allowed on the Normanston Drive side of the kennel to prevent noise nuisance, and the recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for approval subject to a limit of three dogs.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be granted to application W16916, subject to openable windows being on the Normanston Drive side of the kennel only, use to be for pet dogs only with no sales or breeding, and a limit of three dogs to be kept in the kennel.
