Application for construction of room in roof space with dormer window at front and two windows to rear.

The recommendation of the Director of Planning and Building Control was for refusal, as the introduction of a dormer window to the front of this modest semi-detached bungalow would appear out of character with adjacent properties and would be intrusive on the privacy of neighbours.

Building Control had also advised that one of the rear windows would require increasing in size to accommodate a fire escape for the proposed room.

RESOLVED

That planning permission be refused to application W16800.
