Application for construction of gymnastics hall.

The Director of Planning and Building Control reported that this facility was very much to be welcomed, although the scale and location of the proposed building would seriously affect the amenity of gardens and outlook from housing in Kirkley Run and Birds Lane, and objections had been received. The Director recommended deferral to enable less intrusive locations to be investigated.

RESOLVED

That consideration of application W8102/24 be deferred for the investigation of a less intrusive location for the gymnastics hall.

(Councillor Bellham declared an interest in the above item, and left the room during the debate).
